COVID19 - Free School Meals

CATTON GROVE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Striving for Excellence

These are clearly unprecedented times!!

I am writing to thank everyone for your commitment to keep your children at home during these very difficult and challenging times.

As you know, we did open this morning but only for children of keyworkers and for those deemed to be vulnerable. As a result, and with your support, we have had less than 10% attendance.

THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE IN ORDER TO REDUCE SOCIAL INTERACTION AND CONTACT AND CONTROL THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS.

A text message has been sent out explaining what we are doing for those children entitled to Free School Meals and we will see how those measures work. We are happy to change them if we need to.

We are also looking into the proposed voucher system though this will be less of a priority because our kitchen is continuing to function.

Please keep checking in on the website as this will be our main means of communication to you over the coming days and weeks – hopefully not months.

Take care and keep safe – we are here to help as much as we can.

I was told on Wednesday that the kitchen is closed and no more packed lunches will be supplied as from the Thursday? Can you please confirm what is going to be happening ? I have to arrange a time for my vulnerable husband to collect them? If this is continued what were we told of the closure?
