Easter Break - A message from Mr. Lawes
Here is the letter from Mr. Lawes about the coming weeks. You can also access this letter, and previous important notices, on the home page in the Headteachers notices box.
CATTON GROVE PRIMARY SCHOOL Striving for Excellence
As we enter the Easter holiday period I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Catton Grove community for everything that is being done to help us all get through these unprecedented and challenging times.
I know that isolation and social distancing is putting a strain on the way we live our lives but, as a community, we are rising to the challenge incredibly well. People are supporting each other in all sorts of different ways and it is making a difference. We must continue to do that as much as we can to help each other, to protect the NHS and to save lives.
There are many critical and key workers in our community who are doing an amazing job, again, in all sorts of ways. You are the people that are keeping the wheels turning at the moment and you are now getting recognition for what you do. It is long overdue.
I would like to say a particular thank you to all the staff in the school who are doing such a great job in attempting to provide purposeful, useful, fun and enjoyable activities to be undertaken at home.
Teaching relies on kids and at the moment they are with you so it is not easy – we miss them!! Whether they miss us is a different matter! I am sure you probably do! Please use the Dojo facility (if you have it) to give us feedback as to how things are going – it is really useful for us.
I would also like to thank all the staff who are keeping in regular contact with those of you who have said that they would like that extra degree of support – it is incredibly valued.
Treat the next 2 weeks as a holiday – there will be stuff for your children to do from us but there is no pressure to do it.
Try and enjoy yourselves in the hope that all this effort we have collectively put in will mean that the virus is at least contained if not beaten just yet.
Take care and keep safe – we are here to help as much as we can.
